At Appetite for Nutrition, we provide a mixed bill service, including bulk billing (Enhanced Primary Care & Department of Veteran’s Affairs), claim through Private Health Funds, Work Cover, Aged Care Package and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and private fees to all other patients.
A referral is not required for our dietitian appointments.
Please have any doctor referrals, blood test results, medication and medical history with you at your initial appointment.
Your initial consultation will commence with a nutritional health assessment, which will create the foundations for your dietitian to work with you to develop a personalized nutrition care plan.
Your nutrition care plan will focus on nutrition education, goal setting and strategies, and may involve resources such as goal related handouts, educational nutrition material, or meal/snack ideas specific to your needs.
(Please note: this session does not include a personalized weekly meal plan)
Your review appointment is an opportunity to check in with your dietitian and discuss your progress with your nutrition care plan. Your dietitian may like to review pathology test results as another measure of progress.
This session may involve further nutrition education and discussing further lifestyle recommendations to support you on your health journey.
An extended review may be required if you have complex needs. The longer duration provides more time for you to ask questions and receive advice and education on how to best manage your care.
If an extended review is required, your dietitian will discuss this with you.
For concession card or pension card holders, we provide a $20 discount on above prices.
You may also be eligible for a Medicare Chronic Disease Care Plan from your GP which will entitle you to up to 5 dietitian session per year.
Bulk Billed (out-of-pocket cost for some locations & dietitians) – requires a GP referral
