  • Stay hydrated
  • Use a heat pack
  • Light walking
  • Meditation and stretching
  • Avoid gut irritants
  • Avoid skipping meals
  • Avoid large meals
  • Choose bland foods
  • Take a cool shower
  • Go into complete FODMAP elimination (Low FODMAP)
  • Peppermint tea
  • Take a nap

It is important to realise that it’s not only diet that can play a role in flare ups and symptoms. Environmental factors such as stress are just as crucial for being  accountable for an upset stomach. Taking all factors into account is the best management for symptom relief moving forward.
